The Faculty of Health Science (HS) is pleased to welcome all guests to its webpage and thank them for their time! The faculty, as one of faculties at Kibogora Polytechnic (KP), is offering different and very marketable programs in Nursing, Midwifery and Biomedical Laboratory.
The faculty has committed itself to play an important role while bringing a remarkable contribution in the achievement of KP mission which is providing high quality teaching and learning, research for evidence-based as well as contributing Rwanda National Transformation Agenda through community services delivery.
For now, the Faculty of Health Sciences at KP offers the following programs: General Nursing, A1 and A0 (BSc Degree), Midwifery A1 (Diploma), and Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, A0 (BSc Degree). The available teaching and learning modes are Day Mode on Full time basis. You will enjoy diverse physical and electronic teaching and learning tools, and an impeccable calm, panoramic view of Kivu Lake! Graduates from this faculty are employed in different sectors (public and private) and maybe the witnesses of the faculty strength and achievement.
The vision of the Health Science Faculty at Kibogora Polytechnic is “to contribute to the transformation of the Rwandan healthcare system as a critical component of individual well-being and sustainable national development”.
The mission of the Health Science Faculty at Kibogora Polytechnic is “to provide its graduates with the knowledge, experience, and skills to contribute to the development of Rwandan society by improving the quality of health of individuals, families, and community.”
In keeping with the motto of Kibogora Polytechnic, the General Nursing and Midwifery program hold the core values of Science, Conscience, and Faith.
On January 23, 2026, celebrations filled Kibogora Polytechnic in Kanjongo sector, Nyamasheke district, as 2,359 students graduated in the fields of Health Sciences, Education, Business Studies and Theology. The graduates pledged to contribute to the country’s development.
Kibogora Polytechnic (KP) is delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), one of Brazil’s leading institutions of higher learning.The signing ceremony was graced by His Excellency, the Ambassador of Brazil to Rwanda, whose presence underscored the strong and growing ties between the two nations.
From 20th to 25th September 2025, a team of KP top managers, composed of the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dariya Mukamusoni, and the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs, Prof. Viateur Ndikumana, undertook an official visit to Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU) in Romania.The main purpose of the visit was to learn from BBU’s academic and administrative practices, explore potential areas of collaboration, and gain insights into international best practices in higher education management, research development, and quality assurance.
